What a surprise to find this American Classic I have some how missed all these years. A dark story, that opens with a lightness that unravels across the pages, it is told with a tautness that leaves the reader to imagine the worlds beyond the epistolary exchange.
It's rare that I pick up a physical copy of a book, but I saw this in Barnes and Noble, knowing I had to buy it, even though I have very little shelf space.
I think this a book that everyone should read, because it is as true today, as it was written in 1938.
