BookTube-A-Thon Challenge #1 Complete: Coin Toss

This book is just SO incredibly important. There was such a phenomenal discussion about rape culture, teenage girls having sex, safe sex, girl hate, etc. I truly wish that I had this book in high school and could have read it then. This is a must read for everyone in my opinion. This gave me a lot of Me Too vibes, which I loved. (I really think that I could just gush about this book nonstop)

Please read this book!

Real and beautifully told. I loved it.
I especially liked the diverse cast and the way the author treated each character with respect. I was invested in them. There were a few points in Erin's story in particular that I literally nodded along and thought, "Yeah, she definitely gets this. This is what it's like." It's a strongly feminist read and I like that it was unapologetic in this fact. Definitely recommend.
Trigger warnings for: rape, sexual harassment/violence, misogyny, frank sex talk, self harm.

Blimey what a book! I've had this on my shelf for way too long and gosh I wish this has been around when I was younger.
Grace moves to Oregon and to a new house, she finds cries for help written in her new bedroom and wants to find out more about the girl who loved there before her.
As she makes friends with Rosina and Erin, she realises that the girl Lucy was sexually assaulted by 3 boys at her new school, but that the town did nothing.
And so the Nowhere Girls were born, to try to do more, to try to change the broken system, to empower girls.
This book should be read by boys and girls alike, it made me angry, it made me sad and it made me sick reading parts of it, but that's the sign of a great book, that it can make you feel all those things.
Highly recommend this one.

Davvero bellissimo.

Uf.
Chtěla bych říct, že tahle kniha to fakt děsně hrotí a strašně přehání. Vážně chtěla. Ale nemůžu.

Silný a skvělý. Autorka skvěle zobrazila všemožné druhy osobností. Pokud na to máte žaludek a chcete se nad společností zase trochu navztekat, není nad čím váhat.
