Another good, enjoyable, solid read from Ana Huang

I love the realism of her characters in this. Their conversation, dynamics, events surrounding them etc. All of it feels so realistic and so relatable.

Farrah and Blake’s story is one I really have enjoyed. Their development and growth is clearly shown and I like that this book is set years after college when they are older and more mature. Think that added another element to the story

So glad we got to see the other characters from the first book in this as well. I hope the other two books in this series is about them as I want to know what happens with some of them.

I really like the way this book ended, with them being back in Shanghai. The ‘full circle’ nature of it all was good and it was a very good ending for this pair and their story.

Definitely would recommend

could not put the book down

I had to devour book two because I needed to know if they were really going to get a HEA. I loved how Farrah put her foot down in this one. I also knew Cleo was up to something. My heart went with Blake in this one. So happy it ended in happy tears .

The universe had handed him his second chance on a platter, and this time, there was no way in hell he was going to fuck it up.

This second book played with my heartstrings from the first to the last page 🫀 this was second chance romance at its greatest 🥹💞

Ana Huang masters emotions at perfection and she had my heart in her hand for the whole book AGAIN 🙌🏻

« I didn’t stop loving you. I never stopped loving you. »

🌇 Contemporary romance
💞 Second chance #5yearslater
👏🏻 Forced proximity
🫠 Grovelling
🔥 Tension and spicy spice
✨ Found family

If the sun never sets was a masterclass of grovelling, heartbreak, friendship, and love ✨🫶🏻

I honestly loved how authentic the passing of time was. Days, weeks, months went by for Farrah and Blake to stitch the pieces of their hearts back together ❤️‍🩹

The emotions were potent, the love confessions were freaking poetic, the tension was keeping me on edge, and the smut was hot 🔥

I got all the closure I expected and hoped for them, and it made me believe in HEA again 🌌

Shoutout to :
  • Mama Lin for her speech on forgiveness ✨ that woman is wise !
  • Olivia having Farrah’s back, whether it was to hate Blake or help him get Farrah back 🫶🏻
  • The friendship and banter between Blake, Landon and Justin. They’re just bickering puppies 🐶

« If you aren’t by my side, it doesn’t matter how bright the sun shines. I’d rather live in eternal darkness with you than live in eternal sunshine without you. (…) I will chase you to the ends of the earth until the sun fucking explodes. You are it, Farrah Lin. You always have been. You always will be.”
