"Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice shame on me." <---Can one of Farrah's BFF's grill this into her pea brain.
Nuh Uh! Everything I said about Farrah in the first book doesn't exist. We don't know her anymore.
I hated him in the first book and I hate him more in the second book! Blake needs therapy, an ass kicking, and a tampon! I've read self loathing male characters before and they almost always have a few redeeming qualities. Blake has none! He pushes Farrah away not once...but twice. The first time I had to smallest amount of sympathy for. The second time just felt like the author wanted to draw out this incredibly horrid "love story".
When Farrah finds out everything that happened the first time Blake pushed her away...she just tells him that he should have been honest with her and that they could have worked it out! Excuse me? THAT MAN CHEATED ON YOU AND HAD A WHOLE ASS BABY WITH HIS EX! The smart and strong Farrah we had in the first book is no longer here folks! Cheating is an unforgivable trope in romance! But to make it worse, we find out that he didn't actually cheat and that the baby wasn't his...instead of running straight to Farrah and explaining the situation, he avoids her and tells her to leave. Flash forward a few months and he's realized the error of his ways and wants her back AGAIN. *please someone make it stop* And of course Farrah eventually take his ass back with "this is your LAST chance."
I can't get behind cheating (even it he didn't actually cheat). I can't get behind an FMC who puts more stock in her vagina's need for a man over what's actually best for her. Nope.

I enjoyed seeing Blake and Farrah again after 5 years. The story was well done and while I still think Blake could have handled his problems better I still needed to know what happened.
This is the second part of the duet, and the couple ends up with a happy ending, but I'm uncertain if Blake deserves it.
He "cheated" (not really, but...) he lied about it. He didn't tell Farrah the truth in book 1. He just left her with a broken heart.
He also thought he impregnated his ex-gf during this cheating episode. He didn't tell Farrah that either!!!
Then he comes clean & everything is smooth sailing UNTIL we find out that ex-gf LIED. He didn't sleep with her, nor did he impregnate her. I get it. It's a lot to take in. But if Farrah is his love, then why did he run away from her A SECOND TIME? Didn't he learn his lesson? No.
I guess not.
I'm very anti-Blake.
Farrah took him back.
Farrah forgave him.
It's all whatever.
This book infuriated me.
This book made me cry.
This book made me want to yell.
But I still liked it.
I'm excited for the next one!!

I immediately started this book after the 2nd book. It takes back 5 years later with Blake having found success with his bars and Farrah isn't doing as well.
They are now forced to work together and of course their attraction is still as strong. There was a lot of angst and should she or shouldn't she in this story.
I did enjoy seeing both of their growth journey and messy love story.

This book started good. I liked to see how the characters had changed and grown from the end of the first book. I was even on board once Farrah and Blake started getting cozy again. I should have known…. That was only at 50-60% of the book. Once Blake screwed up again, I was anti-Blake. It made me think back on their relationship and he never shared anything of substance with Farrah. She always opened up to him and he always hid things from her, even when he had every chance to talk with her and open up. The betrayal of him hiding so much might have been too much for me. Although, I understand how she could be so in love with him that she would want to let it go. But I wanted her to make him suffer more. Make him learn that if he wants to be in a relationship, he has to open himself up and trust that she can handle what he shares. OR stop making horrible decisions that will affect your relationship. So I’m not necessarily happy with the second half of the book, but I think it does explain the human experience. Sometimes you just can’t let someone go no matter how much they’ve hurt you. I can appreciate that it was different than the formula that most romance books use. I still don’t forgive Blake though. I think she should have made him beg more like in Twisted Love, but she basically thought he was so hot she had to forgive him.

Usually the second book or movie to anything is never better then the first, but I think this is the exception. I was not very pleased with book one but this was worth the read. Blake and Farrah's story line got better and there was more excitement and not as predictable as the first book. Loved the ending.
