I remember really enjoying The Da Vinci Code, and Angels and Demons, but although this novel was fast paced, I can't say it was my favourite. Perhaps my tastes have changed since then, and this wasn't just a dud.

This was a fun read! I actually listened to the audiobook while I went on the longer training runs for my 50k. Kept my brain very entertained. Can't wait to pick up the next Dan Brown book!

If I had read this as a young child it would have irreversibly changed my life honestly. Reading as an adult it more just took me forever bc the characters annoyed me by being pretty stereotypical and shallow, but I can still appreciate a story that makes people think about categories of science and religion in new ways, even if many of the explanations are rushed and lack nuance. Also whole thing gives off STRONG heartmath energy for anyone who knows what that is, so that is fun.

This book was good...interesting, but I don't think it was as good as some of his others. It was nice that a Robert Langdon novel took place in the United States rather than Europe. Learning about our Capital was entertaining. There were some good parts and some I-just-want-to-get-to-the-end parts. Worth reading though if you like Dan Brown.

Hmmm... what to say about this one?

It started off a bit dry, which is not like the typical reads by Dan Brown. Happily, the suspense captivated me by about page 100. Sadly, I was lost the last 30 or 40 pages and once again found them rather dull. the middle 350 pages or so were honestly very good and kept me interested well beyond my normal bedtime. I'm just not sure that the ending and all that was necessary.

And what was the point of adding noetics in there? I thought more would come out of that part of the story...

Anyway, 3.5 for this one. I may have given it a solid 4 had it not been for the beginning and the end. Better luck on the next one, Dan Brown!
