This book was a decent read. I liked the story overall, but there were some discrepancies that put me off. The details surrounding Cherie's death changed from the beginning of the story to the part where it told how she really dies. Also, this second installment got a little murky for me with the number of characters she introduced, as well as her trying to tie together what Elijah had to do with Rich and the vipers. It just seemed like a lot of moving parts to follow. I'm going to read part 3 because I'm invested and want to see it through, but it's a lot to digest.

Ima need the next installment cause how we ending things right there? I think this I the worst cliffhanger of all cliffhangers. But real talk this book was hilarious for me, that beach scene took all my breath from laughter. I am so excited for what’s to come and need all these ops to get what coming to them. My emotions are all over the place.

Jahquel J. gone give me a damn heart attack. Quasim is a complete sweet hearted, unhinged king and I love it. I don’t want to ruin anything for anyone cause parts was ruined for me but I will say I love the new addition of character and the story line. Please read the trigger warnings and be mindful this turn of events/ battle they are fighting now is deep and I was shocked to say the least but u cannot wait to see how it u folds. Blair is such a sweet, loving, thoughtful person it truly warms my heart to see life changing for her in this way. Same for Quasim, good people deserve good things. Now the ending though, It’s gone make ur heart stop so just be prepared for the infamous Jahquel Cliff hanger. Now come on drop the next one so we can get our fix. 🤣🤣🤣

I enjoyed this book even though this author has redundant writing skills and it's annoying. The first book in this part of the series felt fresh and new but now I feel like we are back to the same story plots and literally the same things happening just with different main characters as the previous books. My favorite thing about this book is Eli storyline.
