This was a really fun read. I didn’t enjoy it as much as the original book - the fact that it was all set so close to the present and that Allan seemed to take a backseat in his own story were things I didn’t particularly like - but this book retains Jonasson’s lighthearted and flippant narration style and interesting characters, which still makes it a fun adventure.

This lacked the charm of the first book and wasn't very engaging.

A fun read. Not as fun as the first Allan Karlsson book, and a fair bit more ridiculous. This book was long-winded at times. However, it was still an enjoyable, ridiculous ride.

For me, this one lacked the charm of its predecessor.
