While Allan is the same bumbling old man who happens to insert himself into every current event this book isn’t anywhere near as cute or whimsical as the first one. This book focuses mostly on the political climate of 2016-2017. I got the feeling the sole reason for this book was to touch on the politics that took place in the United States, North Korea, Russia, and Germany. Like the first one, this book ended very abruptly. I understand the author might not be willing to let Allan go but to end it without closure is lazy writing.

I needed something brainless (and maybe witty) to get me through some rough days and God/Audible sales delivered. Alan continues to be a no-shits-given kinda man who is sharp, silly, and everything I want to be if I ever get to see 101. Life is all about adventures, right?

I do think that Julius is an Alan in the making and Sabine's intolerance towards Alan got on my nerves.

This book compare to previous one is more politically inclusive. Majorly focussing on North Korea, US, Russia and European countries. Can say, farce comedy at its best. For someone looking for a change like light-geographically wide-political jabs, this book will be right up your alley.

As with most novels and movies, the first one is better. That being said, it was just as wacky and enjoyable as the first. More politically-centered than mystery-centered as the first novel.
