I was given a free copy of this book by Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

This book is a continuation from Dirtiest Secret. I'm in love with the story of Dallas and Jane. There is the right combination of sizzle, drama and suspense. The book was so good I lost track of time few times reading it. Nothing says a good read like sitting down to read at night and then looking at the clock only to realize that it's after midnight.

Can't wait for Sweetest Taboo.

So hot! Definitely taboo, but waiting on the final installment might drive me to drink.

This book wasn't any better then the first. If anything it was worse. And kind of predictable. I find it really disturbing that they still call each other brother and sister so casually, when they are so adamant that they aren't siblings. Like either be lovers or siblings, you can't call each other both that's just wrong. I'm glad it's only a trilogy because I'm ready for all this crap to be over with. Hopefully we get more of the couple happy together in the next book..

I struggled to write this review because of I am such of fan of J. Kenner and her Stark novels. I have read all of those and have thoroughly enjoyed every one. We initially met Dallas in those books. However, I have been struggling with this series to date. While the writing is what we have come to expect from this author I am finding it hard to connect with the characters and the story. Perhaps it is because there is so much emphasis on the fact that the relationship between Jane and Dallas is taboo that it takes away from the trauma that has happened in both of their pasts. I want to connect with these characters but there is just something missing that I cannot put my finger on. This book does end in a cliffhanger and there will be a book three.

I received an ARC from the publisher through Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This did not influence my opinion and the thoughts expressed are my own.

Oh so scandalous, but oh so GOOD

Julie how do you write such complicated characters. I know I say this for every review but continue to be true! I can not put your books down. I have not read a step siblings love story as good as this one! It is so complex, the push and embrace that Dallas and Jane go through will seriously put your heart through the wringer. Every time you think they have overcome one hurdle and fall into a sweet embrace oh Ms Kenner throws another wrench into the plan. And nothing comes easy or quick for the couples. Man this one was good but I can not wait to start reading "Sweetest Taboo"
Happy reading 🍷🌃👪📚

Holy intense and hot! So much passion and drama. I loved it. I think I might have held my breath during the first chapter. Everything was so captivating with complex characters that are entangled in a heated and complicated relationship. Riveting, heart stopping, and erotic! I loved every second!

Dallas and Jane have a intense relationship, there is a great mix of love, angst, and sexual tension between these two. I I love how their story is playing out. Their faced with so many obstacles and complications but are committed to each other. All these little details are emerging and I pretty much hung on every word. Dallas and Jane have got such a push and pull happening with each other. Seriously erotic. Dark and sexy. I don’t even know what to say here because it’s erotica and it’s intense and beyond scorching. I don't know if I have enough adjectives to explain how awesome everything was.

Dallas is so complicated and still has so many secrets. At times I'd get frustrated with him even though I totally understood where he was coming from. I felt for him. So much pain, his head is a mess when it come to sex and there are serious issues he’s dealing with. I really like how it was explored. It was a bit darker and I found it captivating. I loved how strong Jane is becoming. So many issues of jealousy and trust but I could see her growing and it was great. Lots of ups and downs but so worth it.

Loved all the drama. Lots of details learned which was awesome. I feel this is very much a solid book two in the trilogy. I had so many questions after Dirtiest Secret and I was right about one and have a theory about another, so excited to find out if I am right. For as many answers as I got, I have even more questions so I can't wait to get my hands on Sweetest Taboo. The ending was awesome. So much emotion is happening and the bam! Cliffhanger! It is a great hook and lead in to the next story.

J. Kenner has created a fascinating world with raw and intriguing characters that you want to root for and fix. They're complicated, intense, and passionate. The writing is fantastic, drawing you in, making you feel the angst and emotion. This is a series not to be missed!
