the first third was definitely my favorite, but i blew through this book pretty quick. it was nearly a 5-star for me but i’m not sure how to feel about the ambiguity of the ending. i think i just need to let it settle in for a bit longer. but overall, a really great story of grief and its consequences in our lives.

Not a mystery or thriller like the description may make you think.

From the moment I opened this book I didn't want to put it down. It's told from the main characters perspective as she is telling "you" the story. It is so well written and breaks your heart, drags you through the mud, and stitches you back together again. I was left feeling unsure of what to do with my life now that it's over.

Not my favorite read. I think the grief processing was an interesting read, the second-person was unique/cool and really she’d light on characters. But I didn’t love the writing style and some of the elements.

The book gets off to a slow start but I really enjoyed this unique story. A surprising aspect of the story was how well the author writes the main character and her experience as a highly intelligent female navigating the teen years, young adulthood, and awkward romances.  I am not sure that was the intention, but it resonated with me.
