the first 200 ish pages were really interesting, and a "young" but truthful reflection on losing a family member while they are a teenager. incredibly devastating seeing how a family changes as a result - there was a passage right after the death where she commented on how weird it was to have to still obey traffic lights, write papers for class, etc. when life was SO different.
However, the last 200 pages fell off for me. I didn't love the "romance" of it and i didn't think it wrapped up the story very well, so it dropped down to a 3

Damn this book is sad. It took me two months to finish it because some days I just didn’t have it in me. But anyone who knows grief first hand will see how authentic it is in this book. And the narrator is one of the best I’ve ever heard.
