I want to start by saying I loved this book and it was probably my favorite so far in the series. It was just so heart warming and romantic.
Avery and Foster were made for each other and you really felt that every page they were together.
The only flaw I had was that since the set up was the same from the last book, it did feel a little repetitive at times. However, like I said, I think this is my favorite so far.

I enjoyed it but i am so tired of the Hero destroying their relationship in the name of setting her free. The rest of the book was fun and lovely. I especially loved Gloria. She was a hoot!

Dirty Devil
Nashville Devils, Book 4
By: Melissa Ivers
Narrated by: James Cortes, Phillipa Miller

Melissa Ivers is a new author to me, and this sports romance has made me an instant fan! Although book 4 in the series, it stands alone, and I didn't feel like I have missed anything. Now onto the story! Foster Craig is a playboy. Not ever looking to settle down, he is up front with the women he is with and enjoys his life. When an accidental kiss takes place and the picture goes viral, things begin to change. Avery is the sister of one of Foster's teammates, and therefore off limits. But that kiss gives him an opportunity to adjust his image. After all, she is beautiful, a single mom and more than willing to take the deal he presented to her. He doesn't know Avery has always had a crush on him though. But the more these two spend time together, the more the fake relationship looks real. Or is it fake? This story is packed with so much chemistry and laugh out loud moments. Enjoying their banter, the awkward baby scenes, the audacity of her ex and all around romantic feel that Foster brings, the book flows quickly and with lots of entertainment. I kept finding myself smiling! It's easy to fall for Foster and him with the baby, ...be still my heart. Avery is an independent woman, and she needs to know she make it, but as she begins to rely on Foster and give him her heart, I knew I was in for ride. The question is, what was he going to do? Loved this, enjoyed getting to know the team and their women and look forward to more of this series.

James Cortes, what a voice! He brings romance to a new level as Foster. The accent is smooth and pulled me in from the start. Phillipa Miller comes in as Avery with all the emotions of a jilted, new mom as she works through life. I loved these two together. Their voices complimented each other and created a very enjoyable listen.

One thing about me is that if there’s a romance that includes hockey, imma read it.

This was giving me everything. I was full of anticipation. I was throwing myself around and hollering from all the swooning I was doing.

The kiss cam scene ARE YOU KIDDING

I think the main reason I love sports romances are because it leads to a series loaded with repeating characters. The Dirty Devil is about Nashville Devil Foster and Avery, another Nashville Devil Rhett’s sister.

Avery is a single mom who has sworn off all hockey players regardless of her crush on Foster Craig. That crush is simply shoved in a box and put in a closet as far as she is concerned. However when an accidental kiss is caught on camera, Foster asks her to help his reputation and be his fake girlfriend. Avery may be an avid romance reader and hopeful author who knows that fake relationships always end up in happily ever afters but she is also convinced that isn’t in the cards for them.

As Avery and Foster spend more time together and get to know each other everything becomes less fake. Foster was so sweet with Avery’s son and with Avery. Making sure they had what they needed and that Avery never felt alone. Avery made Foster feel things he never thought was possible considering his view on love. They were absolutely perfect for each other and I loved every minute of this book. Devoured it in one night, with very little sleep. Now I will not so patiently wait for Gordon’s book and hopefully the removal of the stick from his ass.

At one point Avery is in a bookstore and gets a book from Melanie Harlow, Samantha Whiskey, and Mira Lyn Kelly and I have to say that sounds like my absolute heaven. I am obsessed with each of those authors
