Beaucoup plus drôle que les tomes précédents, mais toujours dans la même ambiance et avec des dessins absolument sublimes permettant d'apprécier les tenues traditionnelles et la beauté des tissus 😍

I'm really enjoying all the new characters that are being introduced into the series. In this book, we meet the twins Laila and Leily who are desperate to get married as it is common for girls to be already married off at their age. Although it does not go into as much detail as I would hope, the story goes into detail about the process of arranging marriages, negotiating a 'bride price' and preparing for a wedding, which I find quite interesting.

I reread the first three books to catch up with the story again. Nowadays, my favorite character in Pariya. I liked the short portion at the beginning of the book where we see her meeting a prospective groom. As always, the art was amazing. The textures are just wonderful. I didn't enjoy the stories of the twins as much as I feel like I should have, mostly because my secondhand embarrassment was just...so bad.... The short story about Torkan buying his first horse was so cute though. Yusuf doesn't talk much but he's honestly one of my favorite characters.

I love how detailed the pre-marriage story was! I feel like I really got a glimpse at how things were done and the twins were such fun throughout. I'm glad things appear to be going well for them!
