Sassy, sexy and fated, I loved Lance and Mateo!

This story was my first foray into the worlds of Alphas and Omegas (and possible mpreg) and I was surprised to find I loved it. The Alpha and Omega dynamics hooked me from the start and I was interested to see where they would go. I liked Mateoโ€™s sassiness and hopeless romanticism that he would find his destined mate, and he does! I liked sweet, innocent, Father Lance. He was a virgin priest trying to do the right thing but had no hopes of resisting Mateo โ€“ ensuring sexy times ๐Ÿ”ฅ.

Each character endeared me to them and I found the whole world intriguing, so much so, now I need to read the rest of the Vale Valley series. Iโ€™m still not entirely sure I understand the alpha and omega elements outside of shifters and Iโ€™ve got to admit I kind of kept expecting Lance and Mateo to shift into something. Regardless, this was a great book to wet my appetite for the world of Alphas and Omegas and even Mpreg. I never thought Iโ€™d like that but now Iโ€™m intrigued, thanks Micheal for opening this world up to me!

This was a great story and I look forward to more like it!

Representation Matters!

Iโ€™m so happy a POC was included in this series. While Iโ€™ve enjoyed every book so far, this was my favorite. Mateo and Lance were great together. I loved Lanceโ€™s struggle between his love for Mateo and his commitment to God.

Deliciously sinful. Matteo and Lance are the epitomai of opposites attracting. Matteo is the young, wild omega, sexually confident and experienced. He doesn't have to go looking for trouble, it always finds him. Lance is the repressed, isolated alpha, a virgin in all aspects and socially inexperienced.

It's fascinating how two so vastly different people can help balance each other out. Lance is pushed out of his comfort zone of social isolation and Matteo's wildness is tempered a bit by Lance's steady moral compass. They have their share of bumps but they're perfect for each other and I loved reading them fall in love. It didn't hurt that they are deliciously sinful together! In my imagination, they have many, many beautiful babies in the future. Mischievous, adorable babies.

My second favorite Valley Vale story so far, I'm reading them out of order. I'm glad I decided to buy, definitely worth it. I'll be back for many re-reads. Funny and sweet, sexy and emotional, I love this book.

3 stars. Ehhh. I was expecting so much more than what I got. I didn't like the characters that much. I appreciated Mateo's drive to be with Lance but he was so pushy and annoying in his approach. Lance was dull with a capital boring. Neither character did anything for me. The ending was cute though and it's a very quick read. Not sure if I'll go back and read any of the other books in the series but this was just okay for what it is.
