I had the same problem with this book as I did in the first book, being that it is simply uncreative and a touch boring. It hits all the hallmarks of a pack omegaverse book that you want, the insta-attraction, overbearing alphas, an untimely heat, and touching bite bonds. The book is a perfectly serviceable book of this specific genre, it just isn't anything special.
The only unique part of this book was that this is Arden's second pack and she is still healing from the loss of her first pack and their son over the course of this book. This setup had a ton of promise to bring the book a level of complexity through healing from grief. Unfortunately, everything about Arden's former pack was incredibly surface-level and did nothing to actually help further the plot of the book.
