It’s a good follow up to I Think Knot but it is hard to read at times. The entire plot is focused on Arden overcoming her grief and learning to love again and it definitely doesn’t hold back when it comes to death and grief and pain and loss.

The moment I read the prologue for this book, I knew it would hurt, but I was excited to find out what Alpha would be able to put Arden's heart back together after losing her mates and 5 year old son. Kelly finally gave her the happy ending she very much deserved in the form of two hot Detectives and a very possessive Beta and best friend.

Though Arden, Cohen, and Bastian were reluctant to give in throughout the books, each having their own personal reasons, Locke was determined and never gave up. The moment they all did was worth the wait. Locke showed not only his possessive and protective side, but also his jokester and teddy bear one as well, one I highly enjoyed.

As for Cohen, a detective married to his job, took some time to finally go after what he wanted, and once he made up his mind he was determined to protect his pack. Meanwhile, Bastian, Cohen' new partner, is hiding a big secret that could destroy any chance with Arden and becoming one of her alphas.

The way they all somehow fit together, even with their own unique and quirky personalities as a pack, and the banter between Cohen and Locke was hilarious. I'm excited to see what Reese is hiding and finding out the real reason behind the  tension between Jax and the Chief and his pack.

Overall:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️(4/5) Spice:

This book was okay.    I read it in 2 days but wasn’t super into it like the last one.   The story continues with Arden.  It was nice to see them talk about grief and how it isn’t a thing to get over but something to work through.

My review of this book pretty much the same as the first, but I'm rating it lower because it was so similar to the first it was kind of boring to read at parts. Obviously Arden's backstory was different, and I thought that aspect was well written, but outside of that it was a bit too similar to the first book for my liking.

I had the same problem with this book as I did in the first book, being that it is simply uncreative and a touch boring. It hits all the hallmarks of a pack omegaverse book that you want, the insta-attraction, overbearing alphas, an untimely heat, and touching bite bonds. The book is a perfectly serviceable book of this specific genre, it just isn't anything special.

The only unique part of this book was that this is Arden's second pack and she is still healing from the loss of her first pack and their son over the course of this book. This setup had a ton of promise to bring the book a level of complexity through healing from grief. Unfortunately, everything about Arden's former pack was incredibly surface-level and did nothing to actually help further the plot of the book.

I have been waiting for this book ever since I think knot and I'm glad I waited.

In this book we meet Bexley's bestie Arden who suffers the most traumatic lose when she loses her son and mates in a horrific accident, (even I shed a few tears and this was just at the prologue).

With Arden still grieving it's up to Bexley and the guys to help her overcome the grief of the lose she suffered.
With the help from betas Jaxon and locke who are childhood friends.

With the ups and downs of this emotional rollercoaster of a book, I mean I ugly cried more than once, it was great to see Arden finally move on after such a terrible time and finally gets her pack and another chance of happiness.

That ending though I have a feeling we will be reading about Reese and her men, can't wait.

Well done Sinclair for another emotional but beautiful book
