I mean, I’m invested in this series but gosh this one was a bust. I’m honestly not sure how I finished it tbh. :/ too fast, too cheesy … ugh.
My second time reading Michelle Heard's work, and I have to say, she's written a sweet fake relationship best friends-to-lovers romance! I loved how she wrote Loyal Heir in a dual POVs, giving us the thoughts and emotions of both the characters.
It was filled with humour, heat and drama.
But I have to say, it was a little cliché...but who doesn't love that!
4/5⭐

This was a cute young love book. I think that Forest and Aria have the most wholesome friendship since they have been best friends since birth. I feel bad that Carla was essentially tossed to the side once Forest and Aria began to take their fake relationship into a real one. I KNEW that Kennedy was coming back and I feel bad for her, honestly, because she was a reason for Aria to feel even more insecure unintentionally. I am so annoyed with Eli and I hated that he cheated on Aria and spoke horribly to her. I appreciate that Forest was very attentive to Aria's feelings and in tune with her feelings.
I love that Aria was in the art field because everyone else was in business/law. I love that there was a gallery that showcased her work. The elevator falling is like the worst nightmare but I am glad that Forest and Aria made it through. Honestly, they have been my favorite couple so far in this new series.

Loyal heir took my breath away. It’s been a while since a book made me cry and laugh that hard. Once I started there was no putting it down.
Forest and Aria have grown up together and been best friends their entire lives. Throw in a fake relationship and some very real feelings and things are bound to implode.
I can honestly say that the love that these two share since the very beginning is the kind that should be immortalized, but like all loves nothing is ever perfect and navigating the transition from childhood friend to romantic interest is confusing for any person much less a teenager.
Michelle Heard was able to tap into the psyche of a teenager so eloquently with Aria Chargill. If she was feeling insecure, I felt her struggles deeply. If she was scared, so was I. If she felt like she wasn’t enough, I felt that too. It’s so easy, writing characters of this age, to over exaggerate their emotions to the point where I just have to roll my eyes and move along, but the way the emotions were expressed made me feel them.
I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, I love the boys of Trinity Academy and their role in this book made my heart soar. Getting more of Mason, Falcon, and Lake was a real treat. Their bond and the bond they have with their loved ones is truly enviable.
Noah and Carla are up next and I am so ready for it. The sneak peaks in Loyal Heir are enough of a tease that I’m thanking my lucky stars I don’t have to wait a year for the next book!

I love how Ms. Heard has me so invested in these group of friends.
Each couple has a touching and emotional story.
Forrest and Aria are no exception.
I loved Forrest.
He’s a protector,he’s sweet and observes things that may go unnoticed by others.
Which shows hoe attentive he is and how much he pays attention.
Aria is sweet natured and caring.
She’s had a bad relationship experience.
Which has left a bad lasting effect on her emotional and mentally.
I adored this friends to lovers romance.
It was sweet and heartwarming.
Forrest and Aria friendship was strong and unbreakable.
And I have no doubt that it would have eventually gone to romance.
The “fake” part just pushed it faster in to the true part.
They were a couple meant to be.
Even though this was a great story.
Ms. Heard gives a shocker and twist to the plot that you won’t see coming!

The beauty of this series is that the characters really feel like young adults, with all their insecurities, their developing sense of self, their desire to drink and have fun with friends, career anticipation and worries. Aria, Forest and Carla have been best friends forever. When Aria and Forest decide to have a fake relation, Carla writes up their contract. Then Forest’s old girlfriend arrives back on the scene and all hell breaks lose. Fun all around!
Aria has been battling self worth for some time, product of old boyfriends. She didn’t have good luck or good taste in boyfriends and they did a number on her. Hence, she wants to take a rest from the dating world. Since Forrest is always fielding away clingy girls coming on to him, it made sense to be fake boyfriend/ girlfriend, but then it turned into real feelings and they got all confused. They were navigating their new relation when the only girl Forrest had been with came back to Trinity Academy after a year away.
I found their antics entertaining, although it was heartbreaking for them. Watching their insecurities, their fumbling around a new relation and new jealousies, the interference from friends who take sides, the parents who are always watching over their shoulders, was fun. Made me remember how it felt to be young and finding your way in the adult world. I felt for the kids, hurt for poor Aria, and laughed at Carla’s shenanigans. I particularly loved her quoting movie parts!
This was one of the better balanced books of the series, mixing up fun, steam and angst in one great package. Had a great time reading this one, even the very mushy last part!

The Heirs series just gets better with each book!! Michelle’s writing is amazing!
I absolutely loved Forest & Aria’s story. One of my favorite best friends to lovers story. What started out as fake dating, turned in to so much more than they ever expected. Their chemistry was great, and Michelle will definitely put your feelings to the test.

Love this series. The story will keep you wanting to fall in love with this amazing family that keeps getting stronger and full of life. This is a book that will pull you in tell the very ending.
This is Bk 4 in the Heir series and like with the other 3 book's they just keep getting better and better. This is Aria and Forrest 's story and their story starts out with them being best friends to both of them agreeing to be in a fake relationship...yeh I hope I'm not the only one seeing the flaw in this plan lol.
This story had me rooting for them from the start as they cooked up this plan as they go through the ups and downs, but will one's own self doubt and the other being afraid they'll lose their best friend keep them from having the relationship they so deserve. To know more you'll just need to read it and find out what happens.

Best friends from the cradle Forrest and Aria have been through everything together. Leaving High School and heading to college finds them in some new territory. A small lie has led them into a new reality of a fake relationship. They both have past fails in relationships that make them both a little insecure in their ability to be with anyone.
Aria and Forrest are adorable in so many ways. They truly are best friends with another heir, Carla. The three of them have been as thick of thieves their whole lives and this new dynamic takes a bit getting used to. Of course, with every Heir book, there is something that will make them question what they have done. This book hit me hard as it explored something, I am sure anyone who has been friends with someone they have been attracted to has wondered. Can you make it work, and if it can’t you really stay friends????
On a side note, I want to be Carla’s best friend. We get glimpses into Carla and Noah (who will focus on the next book). I have a feeling they are going to be my favorite couple.
