Another good one from my favorite thriller author. This one had the best ending, and felt like the end of the series, but I’m glad to see there are more installations of Sara, Lena, and Jeffrey!

As with all Karin Slaughter books, I really enjoyed this. As ever, the characters have depth and are engaging, the plot is good and full of twists and turns, I never guess "who-dunnit" before the end!

Alternate title for this book: Lena needs a fucking break. Jesus christ, does Karin Slaughter just hate her?? Like man, I might not like her as a character but I seriously don't think she deserves all of this.

I love a good crime novel and have read a few of Karin Slaughter’s previous books. I thought the plot was interesting and I liked the fact that a rape victim was portrayed as not a particularly nice person because it emphasised that just because somebody was sexually assaulted does not mean that they’re a nice human simply because it can happen to anyone. Having said that I didn’t actually like ANY (apart from maybe the Chief of Police) of the characters and I got the feeling I was supposed to. It was fine, I can’t really find anything wrong with it but it just didn’t grab me all that hard and when I found out who the killer was I didn’t particularly care.

Another good book in the Grant County series.

Jeff and Sara are drawn into the world of sibling jealousy at the universiy, and when Sara's sister Tess is attacked the case becomes personal, and with Lena in the middle as seen as guilty Jeff has to make some very difficult choices as well as Sara about her life and who she wants to be with Jeff or Mason.

Ms. Slaughter once again proves her chilling and raw talent in writing and drawing the rerader in, keeping them gripped and completely spinning their world round at the end. The reader can never work out who did it and this keeps them addicted and wanting more.

A thourghly good read

Good read, topic not quite as disturbing.
