I finally finished reading A Faint Cold Fear, book #3 of Karin Slaughters Grant County Series. I don't know why this took so long to finish. I fell into old habits of not picking a book up for days. That being said I enjoyed the read, however, the chapters were so long!! I prefer a shorter snappier chapter, it helps hold my attention and keeps me reading. Maybe I've kicked the arse out of just reading Karin Slaughter, so I am going to change it up for my next read.

The story follows our established characters from the first 2 books as they are called out to the seemingly straightforward case of a student suicide on campus. However, when an innocent woman is hurt and more bodies are turning up, not everything is as it seems. Did not see the twist on the last page coming! I really enjoy Karins writing style and when reading this series it really plays out like a TV series in my mind. Good strong character development and I am excited to see what happens next, although I'm surprised there is anyone left in Grant County as it is!

This book was Lena heavy, and gave me more reasons to dislike her. I really like Karin Slaughter but I would love less Lena.

I love this series and this was another great instalment.
dark mysterious tense

I hate ALL characters but I also love them.
I love this author very much but she obviously has a sick mind.
And probably so do I, because I phisically can't stop reading all her books.

I hate Lena Adams as a character and don't enjoy reading any book with her in it.
I've read all the Will Trent books and it is never brought up again that Lena is an actual murderer.  She murdered Chuck Gaines.  In this book, the police work didn't move the plot along.  Nothing would have been solved if the murderer hadn't confessed to Lean.  It was a waste of the reader's time to read a book where nothing the main characters did mattered.  Also, Mason James in the latest Will Trent book was a plastic surgeon, but in this book did something with kids.  I hate inconsistencies like that.
I don't know if I'll keep reading the rest of the Grant County books.  I don't think I can take anymore Lena.
