I absolutely loved this book. I couldn’t put it down. I do have one niggle however, the blurb says Nora and Charlie are ‘work nemesis’. I would have to disagree, they had met each other once and came across badly to each other, then didn’t see each other again until the main part of the story… hardly a backstory/reason to be called each others nemesis. If I hadn’t read the blurb I would have said they weren’t particularly fond of each other. But the story itself was fantastic.

For me, this was fine. The sexual tension build-up was good, but I think like other romance novels, a lot of the problems could have been solved if people just talked to each other. Also, for me, this wasn’t as good as Beach Read.

I really enjoyed Beach Read, so I was expecting to like this one too especially because I love books about books. This fell really flat for me. I found a lot of the dialogue and physical intimacy in the main relationship to be super cringey and lack depth. There is surprisingly little plot and the ending didn’t do it for me. This had potential, but unfortunately it will not become my new Emily Henry favorite.

This is a fun twist on romance tropes, specifically of the Hallmark variety. It was cute and sweet and thoughtful and everything I want in a romance novel. I recommend it to anyone in the mood for a romance that's lighthearted but also addresses some tough questions about family, loyalty, and pursuing your dreams.

It was okay, I kinda was over Nora. I love Charlie tho.

This is the second Emily Henry book I’ve read. I preferred Beach Read. Found this one a bit disappointing, leaning heavily on character tropes but not committing enough to turn them on their heads. Found the characters and their issues over dramatized and hard to relate to. GREAT sex scenes tho.
