This book was a welcome surprise to me. I found it funny and compelling, and the relationship between the main characters was believable. I should have checked the content warnings before reading though.

I fell in love with Nora and Charlie from the very beginning. This was everything I want from a romance - two people perfect for each other, who are realistic about their lives and their ambitions, and uncompromising when it comes to the big things, with insane chemistry built on similar interests and personalities. I love love loved this.

this was my favourite emily henry book of the three i’ve read. i loved the two mc’s, their quick wit had me laughing out loud quite a few times. the tension was pretty good too. the one full spice scene was a little underwhelming but didn’t dampen the experience.

It seems like a fun summer read at first but quickly becomes much more than that. There was so many emotions and I finished it in one afternoon. The middle does get slow but it speeds up.

Not that Emily Henry needs me to champion her books but I feel like this book is so slept on! Definitely my favorite of her lineup.

I LOVED Nora and Charlie. I loved that Nora is the anti-hero of the typically Hallmark-style FMC. I loved the relationship between the two sisters. I loved that Nora and Charlie had legitimate reasons to not date. I loved that Nora and Charlie have no desire for children.

I think all of Henry’s books are classified as rom coms but this one is definitely the funniest and has the lightest subject matter.
