It was definitely interesting to read the original book after seeing so many movies and plays that have been based on it. It is definitely far different than any of them. This book has a very straightforward writing style, which makes it great for kids. I did enjoy the story, though in always disappointed that the Wizard has to give something to Dorothy's companions in order to satisfy them. I always want them to realize that they have the qualities they seek already and that's how they've come so far.

I loved this story so much! It was so creative, I loved the world where the story was set, al those different lands and how creative they were. The characters were so nice and fun to read about, and the moral of the story was great.
I have never read the Wizard of Oz before, and I didn't see the movie or the musical either, so it was my first time ever! I'm sure I would have enjoyed it so much if I read it in my younger years, so i would also recommend this as a gift for children. :)

I'm really terrible at audios right now. 77 pages has taken just over 2 months. That's really very bad especially because this audio is really very lovely.
Narrated by Anne Hathaway it's a very dramatic reading and I think kids would really enjoy it. She does a fabulous job with the voices and I never knew Oz held so many New Yorkers! :D
This was my first time reading the book and discovering the differences between the book and one of my most loved movies.

Very interesting read in the perspective of someone who wasn't aware that the books existed until I got curious after seeing Wicked (2024). It's interesting to see the differences between the book and the Wizard of Oz movie - there are quite a few!
