Simple but so adventurous, there is no denial The Wizard of Oz knows how to keep pace. And although its messaging is in your face and its scenes repetitive, it knows how to keep the story interesting. The ending was a bit abrupt, but overall a wonderful story.
I grew up in the Oz books and thought I'd make a return trip. This one was as charming as I remembered but felt more abrupt than I remembered. I had mixed up all the movie versions and the book in my head. Still, a fun ride.
