The illustrations are stunning. This is more of an art piece then an actual book, but the story is there and it’s wonderful and full of life and plot and intrigue. If you love beautiful illustrations and stories told not in the most norm of fashions you should definitely give this book a read. Even if it’s just to stare at the stunning illustrations.

I found it in the Juvenile section but I think it's very enjoyable for all ages. I picked it up attracted to the cover art and font practically hopping off the cover. I was pleased to see that the beautiful artwork continues throughout the books pages. A fast but thoughtful read, read it slow and savor it. It's going in my new favorites.

Quirky and unusual. Familiar yet unfamiliar. Leaves much to the imagination, but yet is predictable.

Deliberately not tagging it "children's".

Exquisite. Its post-modern narrative won't be for everyone but I have not read anything like it. Ever. And I love it for that alone. Its play on traditional story tropes is so clever and its presentation and play with narrative quite remarkable.
