Compulsive ( Liar Duet Book 1 )
By Lia Fairchild
5/5 Stars

Compulsive is book one in the Liar Duet Series by Lia Fairchild. This is my first book I’ve read, by this author. I’m hooked, I can’t wait to read the second book! This is so beautifully written , with deep and complex characters! It’s an amazing story , but yet devastatingly heartbreaking at the same time!! Trust me, you will not be able to put it down!! It will have you sitting on the edge of your seat, wanting more!!
Gray Donovan has been through a lot in her young life. She has learned to lie as a way to protect herself. But she knows she needs help, she has to get better and move on from her past. So she seeks help from a therapist , Daniel Harrison.
Together they embark on a dark past and secrets buried deep inside. They go on a journey like no other, it will make you , laugh and cry! It’s an unforgettable tale about self discovery and determination!
Go out and read it right now, you won’t be sorry! Wonderful job, Lia! I’m a forever fan now! Can’t wait to read the second book now In this series !!

I really enjoyed this book. I've never read a forbidden romance and I think this duet was a very good place to start. At times, I cried. I laughed, I gushed at how cute it was. The spicy level is probably 3/5?? I'm not too good at rating spice but yeah, definitely no complaints. It wasn't too much and I liked that. There was a good build up.

I enjoyed this. Everyone is capable of lying a lot yes but compulsive lying is definitely an illness that needs to be treated with help from a professional. It's never a bad thing when you need help and when you do need it you should speak up and talk to someone close to you to tell them you need help. Opening up is always a good thing to do. Even if you can't trust anyone else, you can always count on yourself. I laughed and I cried. It was an eye opening story. I really like this a lot.

Compulsive by Lia Fairchild is the first book of the Liar Duet series. The book isn't wild action or suspense but was hard to put down. The main character Gray is likable but has a horrible habit of lying to everyone. The lies are big and they are small. What is captivating is that she is a realistic, human character. The other characters are well written also. I liked how Gray wants to change but suffers setbacks. No one is perfect or able to change themselves without struggles and this is written into the character of Gray. I look forward to the next book in the duet.

Compulsive by Lia Fairchild is my first book by this author but not my last. This was a really good story about a girl named Gray who is a compulsive liar having to go to therapy and falling for her therapist Dr. Harrison. Gray has a messed up early childhood and her reasons for being closed off and always lying.

This was a slow-burning romance, maybe a little too slow for me and a little confusing for the first couple of chapters; the last half of the book made up for it. I was on an emotional roller-coaster in a good way. But I didn’t see that ending coming and I might have yelled at my kindle. Can’t wait to read the next book to see what’s going to happen next.

Compulsive (Liar Duet Book 1) by Lia Fairchild

5 Star!!!!!

This was a venture into a new genre for me and I have to say that I am quite impressed. The whole storyline was very intriguing and had me eager to keep reading. The basis of the story is unique the whole concept of doctor and patient relationship is a very controversial topic but this book I think that the author does a good job of handling it.

The chemistry between Grey and Daniel is quite different from other characters I have come across. The pull of forbidden relations is the common thread of this book and I was quite intrigued how it would pan out. This being the first book in the duo I think sets up the way for the next one and I am really eager to be able to read that. I am quite curious to see just how things pan out for Grey and Daniel and how her problems and her past as well as his play out in their relationship.

Every so often you find a book that completely captivates you and this was it for me. After I read the blurb for the story I wasn’t sure what to expect but I know that it was nowhere near what I thought. What I actually got was an absolutely beautifully written story, a story that makes you stop and think whilst reading it and a story that definitely has you turning the pages just because you need to know what happens next. I encountered so many emotions whilst reading this story and the tears were definitely free flowing at one point!
The characters in this story were just amazing. I fell in love with them instantly. Gray was such a complex character that I couldn’t help but like. She was strong when she didn’t think she was and she was also kind, caring and a loving person. I just really felt so sorry for her and I really felt myself invested in her and her story. Daniel was a really intriguing character who I loved almost as much as I loved Gray. He was a really nice, genuine person but he also had his own secret that he was hiding. I am really looking forward to seeing how their story continues. Along with Gray and Daniel were a great set of secondary characters. I really enjoyed reading about them.
I really cannot recommend this book enough and I am really looking forward to reading the next book in the series!

Compulsive (Liars Duet Book 1) by Lia Fairchild
Rated 5 stars

As I started reading this book I could not BELIEVE this girl! She is living a life of lies....and the way they smoothly rolled out?...she is a professional for sure! Everything out of her mouth was difficult to believe. I mean how could anyone ever trust or believe in her actions or words. It’s crazy. The funny thing was not everyone believed her lies but they didn’t all call her on it. She is actually a smart girl and few people see it because she is overshadowed by impulses.
This is an amazing book full of many characters and many emotions. Oh by the way...I LOVE her name and the meaning behind it. Genius! The more I read the more I got more entranced by her story. I could hardly wait to pick up the book and read more. This is a first time author for me and I am impressed with the writing and all the characters. Some grew a bit, some grew a lot and others were stumped and showed little growth. I see there is a second book about all these amazing characters. Looks like with the story continuing but told from another’s point of view.
