Not as good as book 1 in my opinion, but still really good. I am sad that I now have to wait for book 3.
Some parts of the story were a bit predictable while others were not.
The spicy scenes were continue to be well written.

I would give this a 3.5, but I decided to round up because of how good the first one was and because of my expectations for the next in the series.
While greatly enjoyable, it was not a good as the first installment of Adrian x Isolde. There was a wash, rinse and repeat feel to something happens, Adrian and Isolde disagree, they fight, they make-up (sex). Were the things that were happening intriguing and engaging plot wise? Yes. Did I want to see Adrian and Isolde react different? Also yes.

I wouldn’t mind the constant cycle of one person gets angry at another for something stupid> they argue>they fuck and never actually address the issue again or verbally apologize>repeat if it actually had a good/interesting plot or likable characters to make up for it. Also one of the arguments was the MMC basically saying “why do you care that your people are enslaved? It’s not like you’re actually FROM the island, and they just have sex after to show that he’s sorry?? Excuse me no.

“Men want power. Women want to exist without fear.”
Loving the feminist turn this series took in this book. Not loving the abrupt ending. I actually gasped.
