“Men want power. Women want to exist without fear.”

Loving the feminist turn this series took in this book. Not loving the abrupt ending. I actually gasped.

I am so tired of reading books with weak whiny and needy main female characters. Other than that I love the books Scarlett St. Clair writes.

This was one of my must get to's this year and I'm so happy I got to it. This one is definitely competing with the first one on being my favorite one. I really enjoy this series and can't get over how I can't get enough of it. The characters in this book are soooooo amazing and all the twists and turns! I hope she is thinking of doing a few books in this series cause I can't get enough.

It didn't quite captivate me as much as the first.

I was so excited after the first book. But this book was stressful and depressing. Adrian and Isolde were always fighting which got repetitive, Isolde had a ton of immature moments, there was problem after problem in this book and only a couple light hearted moments. There wasn’t enough balance of the good moments to outweigh the frustrating. And yeah there was plenty of sex…but most of the scenes were the same. The best part of the whole book was the bonus Midwinter chapter. Really disappointed.
