I was very excited to read this book! The concept and blurb are perfect for me. I was so excited that my boyfriend picked this book for me.

But I was sadly let down. I did not feel like the story in the book matched the blurb on the back. The blurb made me feel like we were going to focus on the Sophie Foundation, but the group honestly felt like a minor character throughout the whole story.

I also felt like the characters were… lackluster. They were definitely NOT likable characters. But I also didn’t hate them? I just felt like there were so many secrets for absolutely no reason. Like give me the background. They just fell flat to me.

This book had me engulfed in the story within the first 50 pages ! Would rate in the top 15 of suspense stories that I have read.

It had its moments where it was a bit slow. While simultaneously reading the book and listening to the audiobook I found there to be several errors & discrepancies. There were suspenseful moments but not enough to make me want to recommend the book to others.
