I wanted to love this story. Unfortunately that's not what happen. The story was largely predictable with repetitive thoughts by the main character. The ending was too clean and easy, also very unbelievable. The characters weren't very likable, even Lucky, who comes off as very whiney. Everything about this book was too convenient. Disappointed but who knows maybe someone else will like it.

I just didn’t care about anyone in this book.

The story was ok. But there was nothing in this book that made me feel connected to the characters or care about any of them. They were passing scenery.

I finished it, but I had to force myself to get to the end because I just didn’t care about the outcome.

This was a very fast paced story of Lucky, a girl taught to be a con artist since adolesence. It hops between her formative childhood memories and her current trials. Suprisingly good character growth for it being so short, definitely a fun summer read.
