Honestly not the book I would have chosen - it's a book club book, so ratings might be higher from someone who likes this type of book. Book about a young lady who grows up as the child of a grifter and as many times as she tries to go straight, finds herself needing to fall back on those talents. I did like the ending -- great way to end the book. Sometimes difficult to figure out where in Lucky's life we were - the story moved around a lot giving different dates and cons and people that Lucky knew.

Nice quick read, I really liked the main character, but didn’t find her fully convincing as a con artist. Enjoyable while reading but easily forgettable for me.

I am so glad my partner gave me this book for Christmas. I read it in two days and will be recommending it to anyone who needs a fun read about a family of grifters.

Quick read alert!

This was a simple story, with a few twists but overall it was easy to guess how the story would play out. I think the author did a great job of flashing back and forth between past and present and built each character’s life stories using that method.

Overall, I was a bit surprised this was a Reese’s pick, as the story and writing was a bit simpler than most of her picks!

Heavily enjoyed the story lines that eventually intertwined into the present day. I thought this was a unique take on character development and building up plot. But, what the heck was that ending? I needed more than that...

Not violent or gross. Full of plenty of intrigue. And I enjoyed it very much. It probably would have received a five star from me except for a confusing middle. Timelines with characters were hard to differentiate. Otherwise I think readers will greatly enjoy this book.

I loved that this was a shorter story, it kept me engaged, as I was able to read it in just about a day. I think that the story was well-written, but it wasn't a favorite of mine. There really wasn't much I had against it, I just wasn't passionate about it. I would recommend it to others, if they enjoy learning about multiple different characters and timelines.

This was a super quick and fun read! A girl named lucky runs schemes with her father and boyfriend until everything goes terribly wrong. It was interesting and entertaining, but there was very little character development and the ending was dumb. I think it was an interesting story that deserved more than a hallmark ending. Solid 3 star read!
