I enjoyed this volume , however I'm a major aot fan. The story processing slowly but I'm very investing as I'm interesting in how the survey corps turned into what it is in the main aot series. In this case for others this series isn't a necessity to read for the main aot series.

I still liked this one, but I felt like things didn’t really ramp up until the end, with Kuklo finally outside the wall and encountering a Titan and realizing maybe he’s human after all. Also wish that Sharle had gone with him. We’ll see how vol 3 goes!

I haven't read the first one and that did detract from the overall story, but it's still good. I'm glad to get to see other times in the history in aot, but I didn't get a good feel for the new characters which in other aot books was not a problem. Probably just need to read this series in order.

I am rather unabashedly enjoying this series. There was some more depth developed from the first volume, and while it’s violent and a little horrible, there’s also a shojo element thrown in that I’m just plain enjoying.

I’m a shojo girl at heart, so I’m looking for and liking the budding romance between Kuklo and Sharle, as well as the development of both of their characters.

I like the way that Sharle made the decisions for herself, and how she’s doing what she needs to, with working and bandaging Kuklo. I feel bad for her, with the fact that Kuklo has to leave for a while, and she doesn't know how to help.

I like Kuklo. He finally really sees who he is despite what everyone has always told him in this volume, and he also makes a big decision not to give in. I like his discovery, and look forward to seeing how he toughens up later.

We’re learning some interesting history about the survey corps, and I can’t remember if any of this is mentioned in the original series or not, but I’m intrigued to see where that goes.

The cliffhanger was rather mean, so I’m eager for the next volume to see what happens next. The novel version is being released soon, too, and I look forward to reading that quite a lot.

I watched the first few episodes on nextflix but it’s not in English so I opted to go with the manga to check it out the manga are farther than the anime. Attack on Titan: Before the Fall is the prequel of Attack on Titan. It’s set before wall Maria was breached and before they knew how to fight the titans. The story revolves around a boy that was born after his mother was regurgitated and the girl he befriended.

In the second installment the time has come for Sharle and Kuklo to escape from the life that holds them both prisoners but it won’t be without casualties. When the night comes for them to escape they find that the Titan worshipers have come to free the titan child but it won’t be easy and they won’t be the only ones to make it out alive. Sharle’s brother who’s tortured Kuklo also makes it out but not before giving Kuko a permanent reminder.

It’s been a while since I dove back into the world of the Titans but decided it was time to read about what happened before Attack on Titan. It’s interesting to see what happened 70 years in the past, and I’m curious to see how we will evolve to fight the titans. The art is entertaining it works well with the story. I really enjoy that each installment is a mix of story and action giving just enough to keep you wanting more. I’m already captivated by the two characters Sharle and Kuklo who escaped with their lives. I quickly fell in love with the prequel just like I did Attack on Titans. I can’t wait to see how it will progress and learn more about the characters in this series. The more I read the more I am enjoying this new spin.

There's the action I was expecting from this series! It didn't disappoint. Curious to see where this story is headed.
