The story had so much potential at the start, but by the end the pacing was so strange it diminished the story. Also, the two main characters barely actually talk. The “strong” female character just whispered and fluttered her lashes most of the book. Steamy scenes were pretty decent though!

Fine, let’s get the age-gap gap out of the way first. We have a five year window WHERE NOTHING HAPPENS - the MCs start 15 & 30, we end up in smuttville at 20 & 35. Seems like the author is very aware of the cringe, because every time your eyebrow starts to twitch, the author comes in with some acceptable anti-pedo exposition.

Now, le review

You know when you read the blurb and the book turns up to be exactly what you were expecting ?

That happens to me every time I pick a Jenika Snow title

this book was the best out of the series

Not for me

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Phenomenal book!! I loved this book so much. Not your typical arranged marriage. FMC knows and has a crush on the MMC for years. FMC knows what she wants whether it’s right or wrong and doesn’t care what people say about it. Such a special relationship forged between the main characters through her letters despite them being one-sided, they still have a profound effect on the MMC. Such a spicy read, MMC is filthy and a little on the feral side after waiting so long.

The 4th installment of Jenika Snow's Underworld Kings series follows the 30 something head of the Bratva, Dmitry and 15 year old Claudia (Amara from book twos little sister) taking place over 5 years.

Dmitry barely acknowledges Claudia at all as his sister in law's little sister. But when Dmitry ends up in prison Claudia starts writing to him, and even though he doesn't respond to her letters, which she writes for YEARS, she starts to mean a lot to him. But a few months before he is released out of nowhere she stops writing to him and he's not happy about that…..argh I LOVE IT!

Just like the other three books this story is loaded with all the mafia craziness good stuff - disrespect her and die, your mine, burn the world down for her, she reduces his roaring demons to a whisper
