This one was so frickin' good! I loved that Dimitry finally got his own book!
When Dimitry Petrov gets locked up, it is his sister-in-laws little sister, Claudia who is there writing him day in and day out. She is fifteen and has developed a crush on the Russian leader despite him telling her to leave him alone and stop writing him.
Years go by and Claudia continues to write without a single reply until she sends Dimitry pictures of herself all grown up and just graduated. He finally replies and says things that make Claudia blush.
The heart felt letters still continue with Dimitry not replying until one day Claudia informs him that she is to be in an arranged marriage and in order to escape her fate she is joining a convent.
The letters finally stop and after 5 years in prison, Dimitry is ready to get his girl and no one will stop him.
From their reunion its pure spice, spice baby! Dimitry has the dirty mouth to match Claudia's dirty mind and together they are perfect!
Jenika Snow certainly knows how to write the sexy, dirty talking alpha male who you can't help but fall for! And she accompanies that with a FMC you wish you could be!
I love this series! It's not necessary to read the books in order since each one can be read as stand alone, but the series will make so much more sense if you do!

I have really enjoyed all the Jenika Snow’s books in The Underworld Kings collection…however Daddy Dmitry might be my favorite! I absolutely love all the tropes of this book: Age-Gap, Dirty Talking, OTT Possessive, V-card Breed, Mafia Romance. Dmitry’s character is swoon worthy possessiveness, and panty melting yum! Loved this book!!!

Agh, I haven't read a Jenika Snow book in what feels like forever. The last one I read was The Beast... I'm not gonna lie, it wasn't my favorite. But Little Bird? Perfection to my eyeballs.
I have not read a mafia book in a while where the FMC is the one obsessing over the MMC and him not reciprocating her feelings. Dmitry is Claudia's forbidden and unrequited love since she was a teenager. She spends 5 years of her life writing letters to Dmitry while he's in prison, hoping that one day he'll feel the same for her. But Dmitry never writes her back. When he does, it's to tell her off because she's too young for him. Claudia is persistent.
Once she turns 18, she hands him all the cards she wants to play and nothing is off the table. This is when Dmitry becomes interested and he become obsessed. The one thing on his mind for two years until he's released is "Claudia is mine. I'll have her. I'll make her mine. By any means."
I loved every bit of this slow burn love story. It was definitely worth the wait for me. They had so much chemistry as a couple and even before then. I'll have to read the rest of the books in this series and universe.
