The kink was strong with this one. Daddy and breeding? Just my cup of tea. Writing was well done. Now I need the brothers book but I will be thinking about this one for a little while. As with the last 3 this couple got their HEA and it was very sweet at the end. Loved every second of this one.

There where some things i really enjoyed about the book, mostly Dimitry and his over the top personality and obsession.
Beyond that i really struggled to get into this book, because the first 40% of the book Claudia was underage and Dimity didnt looks at her as anything more than a child (which is good) but then when she turned 18 she sent him pictures while he was in prison and he flipped a switch and was obsessed, but never wrote her back even through she wrote him every week? I basically just didnt believe their connection, it was all Claudia spilling herself into her letters and getting nothing in return even though he was obsessed? Then when he gets out she is confused as hell because hes not given her any idea that he wanted her up until his release?
Her confusion was frustrating.
Lack of conversation between them was frustrating, Claudia felt too clueless, innocent and young.
Dimity and his internal monologue was the highlight.

I liked the idea of a young girl writing to an older man in prison. However, when he got out, I didn't liked his overall character, the way he handled things, the things he said to her... not cute at all. Also I didn’t like the fact that the hero and heroine were being hypocritical about the fact that she was a virgin and mafia world treasured virgins and they didn't accept or like that yet the male lead got horny and happy that she was a virgin and the heroine hated that she was a virgin??My problem with these types of book in general is that they will make a big paragraph in the book talking about how "i'm a virgin but it's not like i'm waiting for marriage and the whole concept of virginity is stupid and being a virgin sucks and blah blah blah" Like who's team are you playing here? PICK ONE. There's nothing wrong being one and there's nothing wrong with not being one.

It started off great and then... meh.
And... I'm not a fan when characters repeat the same sentences.

I freaking love this book! This fourth underworld kings from Jenika Snow has got to be my favorite so far. I LOVE Dmitry and my heart just broke for him at the pain we witnessed he went through at the abusive hands of his father. With that said, please be aware (trigger warning) of child abuse, torture, and scenes of violence in the novel relating to the Hero.

Jenika did a fantastic job of giving us the back story of not only Dmitry but also Claudia and their relationship through the years. I love how Claudia is so open to Dmitry and it was her who initiated and pursued him and I just LOVE that! Often in romance it is so often the female who get pursued and it’s so nice to see Claudia know who she wanted to be with and pursued him.
