Faye was someone who has been in an abusive environment for so long she craved freedom, her whole life was curated depending upon another person.
Was she courageous to endure the situation she was in or just didn't try hard to rescue herself enough? I didn't feel the moment she became a person of her own, even when a chance was given. Fortunately she liked to play piano, which was forced on her that she used to escape her reality but if not what? I was waiting for her moment to happen which didn't & that's what disappointed me.
Dion was complicated to understand, he was ruthless for the people he loved. But his character showed some growth in between. He was like a pendulum oscillating between the person he is trying to become & the person he is.
The book deals with the most important topics i.e., abusive environment & guilt carrying. Both the main characters dealt with trauma which was the centre stage, compared to other books in this series. The relationship story of Dion & Faye was lost in between that. They seemed to overcome it together, they depended on each other making each other better. But somewhere the way they both dealt with their trauma was not properly justified.
Is finding one person who is head over heels in love & good sex enough to overcome whatever both went through? Though therapy was mentioned here & there it definitely doesn't stick out as a point.
Even though I finished this in one day, this book didn't make me feel the emotions nor the characters made me feel for them.
Those moments with Raven, Val, Sierra & Faye were so heartwarming & made me laugh. I felt happy for Faye to have found them. The way everyone had Dion's back was good to see!
This definitely will not be my favourite book in this series. I'm hoping the next books in this series will be as good as the first two.
Favourite Quote: Making her smile makes me feel fucking high, but that blush?

This book will haunt me forever, Dion and Faye caught my attention from the moment I met them and although I was hesitant to read their book I was surprised to not be disappointed.
Dion and Faye literally began with having no relationship to building what I think is the best Windsor brothers relationship đ
Dion being extremely patient for Faye had me on my knees in such a passionate way. I have always been a sucker for MMCâs that arenât afraid to step back and watch the FMC shine and thatâs exactly what Dion did. He didnât hold Faye back but rather gave her the chance to flourish and that is exactly what she did.
My heart went to Dion as well, his trauma with his parents broke my heart and I am so incredibly glad that he was able to heal with love
Dion gave Faye a choice despite her never having that in her life and prioritized Fayeâs well being over his own.
Tbh Iâm waiting for a Dion of my own đźâđš
Fayeâs story hit close to home for me, like her I grew up in an abusive household so seeing her journey was so inspiring. Sheâs one of my favorite FMCâs ever, I aspire to be like her in every way.
This book literally made me sob which was so unexpectedâŠ
Fayeâs story reminded me so much of âwhat was I made for?â By Billie Eilish đ
Faye and Dion built on each other which I loved their relationship wasnât only healing for them individually but for them together â€ïžâđ©č
Grandma Windsor in this book was also pretty tolerable LMAO, she finally is learning from her grandchildren and Iâm glad she is LMAO.
I canât wait to reread this in my future đ«¶đŒ
