I enjoyed getting Dion and Faye's story but...I feel like it was unnecessarily long. πŸ™ˆ

Both characters are equally broken by the past and those they love, though in different ways.

I do love the way that Catharina links the stories together showing the overlap and just how connected these characters are.

Definitely think I need a break from the Windsor's though...afraid if I start book 4 after the feelings of Dion and Faye's story being drug out...that it might negatively affect my reading of the next couple πŸ˜… which sucks because book 4 was the book I originally heard about that had me wanting to read this series 😭

This is the book that made me pick up this series from some tiktoks I saw, but it’s actually my least favorite. While I enjoyed the read, Dion and Faye were probably my least favorite couple so far. There were so many times where the books started to feel a little repetitive, especially coming from Dion. I will say, that as far as age gap romances go, this was the least creepy or cringey.

Great book. as always Catherine Maura writes her characters so well with such good character development that you feel everything their feeling. The love story is a classic stranger/enemies to lovers marriage of convenience.

The only thing that threw me off was the first scene we saw from Faye's perspective had physical abuse in it and that was very hard to read after Dion's chapter and without any back story or knowledge of Faye.
