This was a great book, and a good continuation from the last one. The dog was a bit too much of a deus ex machina, but otherwise it was a really impressive book. I kind of wish he would explain the system of Clayrs, Remembrancers, Abhorsens and other groups better, and I'm hoping he will in the next book.

The audiobook is awesome, read by Tim Curry! The world building continues where Sabriel left off and gets even more intricate, which is fun! I had trouble with some of the characters… the main character is great, with a super satisfying arc, but she’s surrounded by shallow and sometimes pretty irritating characters.

Lirael isn't as likeable as Sabriel, but maybe that's because I wasn't aware of the perspective change. I loved Dog though and am curious to see how this story wraps up
