Well....I didn't like this book at all. The characters were not well written and you don't get to really know them, like you know the MC has anxiety and her friend likes Star wars that's it. The MC is so selfish and she makes everything about her, her friend is so mean and rude. The romance was the only good thing in the book but it was ruined later on in the book, the author didn't capture anxiety well. I also felt like book had no purpose. I honestly only read this book because my sister said it mentions Star Wars A LOT....tbh it didn't, her friend writes fan ficiton about Chewie and Rey dating and that if you find it weird you're sexiest because when men date Twi'leks they don't get judged... first of all Twi'leks are different race and wookies are different species soo.. and also her friend says to a "loser" that he is a kylo stan (as an insult) so tbh last year the worst book that I've read was Looking for Alaska and this year it's Turtles ll the Way Down

Wow, that was a BLAZINGLY FAST read. And actually a very enjoyable book!
I didn't love Looking for Alaska or The Fault in Our Stars and haven't read Green's other books, so I didn't really know what to expect here. That being said, I was definitely engrossed in the story Green tells and I empathized strongly with Aza.
I think Turtles All the Way Down is a really excellent look at mental illness and the reality of what it means to live with yourself when your brain seems to be operating without any of your own input. I also much appreciated that the two most important relationships in the book were between Ava and Daisy and Ava and her mother.

I really enjoyed the way Aza’s thought patterns were explained. This book really resonated with me, especially her “invasive” thoughts and attempts to control or eradicate them. I love the aspects of mental health this novel explores. 10/10 will read again.
