This is one of the best books I’ve read in a while. It’s a must read.

I'll file this under A, Awesome!
Fast-paced and not boring, I barely put this book down.
Had me reading since page 1.
This is my first sci-fi read and boy it did not disappoint.
Looking forward to read the next 2 books ASAP

Wow it has been a while since I’ve felt like I could solidly give a book 5 stars. I loved every single aspect of Nyxia!! The only thing I will say is that Morning and Emmett’s relationship seems really simple and poorly developed. But that was my ONLY complaint!! Can’t wait to finish the trilogy ☺️☺️

TOTAL - ★★★☆☆
Wowww. Nyxia really surprised me. This was like Survivor and The Hunger Games! In space! The characters are incredibly diverse and well-developed. It would make a pretty great movie! However, I had some issues with its cleanness that I will discuss later. Oh, young adult novels . . .
_____
Plot - ★★★★★
The plot was intriguing, twisting when I least expected it. It pulled me in by the first chapter and I couldn't stop reading (which would explain why I finished it in eight hours with only one break).
Writing - ★★★★☆
The writing was great! It made me feel as if I was really inside Emmett's head, going through the experiences he was going through, meeting the people he was meeting.
Unfortunately, I have a fairly large issue with the writing: the settings aren't explained thoroughly or well enough. When they were in the training scenes, I had a good grasp on what was going on, but it was hard to completely understand because the setting was never fully explained.
Characters - ★★★★☆
The characters were believable and raw. I felt their pain and their joy, and they seemed very real to me.
Emmett: Emmett is a sort of antagonist-y protagonist that you can't help but root for. He can be rough, and he feels no shame in beating someone up if they insult him. But at his core, he's good, and cares for the people around him.
Kaya: Kaya was my favorite character. She was smart and quick-thinking, and very kind toward all of the others.

But, this only applies to the kids on Genesis 11. The kids on Genesis 12 seemed unrealistic and underdeveloped.Emmett: Emmett is a sort of antagonist-y protagonist that you can't help but root for.
