This story is full of action and drama

Being a single mother, Mya Burch wanted a do over for her life when she got her college degree in Psychology and Sociology. Her incentive was her five year old son, Colin's need for a new school that worked with his advanced and gifted intelligence. That led her to take a new job in Versteck Valley, Colorado so her son could attend Higher Dimension Acaademy Pre-school. What she did not know was that the town had secrets, secrets and capabilities that she would need to keep her son protected.

Even though he did not like Mya and her son living next door to him, Asher Pendergrass insisted on finding out everything he could about her to make sure she was not a threat to his security company he and his cousins built from the ground up, including the Robber's Roost. He did not intend to get so caught up in Mya's erotic books she authored. He was thoroughly intrigued by her. Even the residents of Versteck Arms where Mya worked, loved her and saw her as a part of their community. They held together to protect she and Colin when his paternal grandfather Joshua Henry, started a ball rolling he could not stop.

Erosa wrote a story that was intriguing and full of drama, action and mystery. It tickled meto read how Asher got all riled up reading Mya's books. He was really turned on by them. Even though he only had encounters with women, he made tiem to have a relationship with Mya and her son. This was a first for him. He did not think women could tolerate looking at his scares and tattoos, but that did not affect how Mya saw him. She thought he was classically handsome regardless of the long scarr on his face. Being around him, Mya had feelings that she thought were long dead, especially after how her ex- husband Ahmed talked about her and ruined her reputation to the point to where her family had to move. She mostly concentrated on being a good mother for her son and did not have time to date. Asher was the first man since Colin Henry, Sr. that she was attracted to in a long time. Neither one of them came from "normal families" and both Mya and Asher were determined to make their relationship work through truth, honesty and love. I enjoyed reading this action packed story and can't wait to read about Asher's cousin Moses.

Looking forward to the next.

The writing is good. There are a couple of typos but not enough to detract from the story. The characters are likeable. The backstory is different enough to keep you engaged. I will definitely read the next one.

What a Sweet Interesting Book

Mya and Asher are so sweet. I feel like more could have been done with the book, something was missing for me but it's still a 5 star book. I can't wait to read the rest, like what about Moses? Drake? Can't wait!
