I enjoyed pieces of this book. The teammates brainstorming ideas together while devising the cheat sheet was funny, and left me hoping some of those characters will get their own stories. However, I struggle with miscommunication storylines, so this wasn’t for me.
In addition, the ending felt rushed. She flips from not wanting to take a ride home from his car service to accepting huge monetary gifts. Then bam they’re married, because they were saving themselves for each other even though they’re not virgins. I think it was meant to be sweet, but felt the opposite.

So, the first few chapters are hard to get through mostly because brie at the beginning is extremely pick me and obnoxious, but once we get more Nathan we get to see the good of her and those annoying faults are easier to deal with. It's a tad cliche and predictable (except them losing the super bowl and the surprise full wedding Two suprises), but it is a romance after all.  Honestly the beginning would've made this book a 2 or 1 star if it hadn't gotten better later.

All in all I'd say it was a great book, it made me laugh alot, the couple clearly really loves each other and values the other one and their friendship.

Some of my favorite moments:
1. The surprise wedding
2. Their emotional outburst that ended in confessions of love
3. The superbowl proposal
4. Nathan and friends creating a cheat sheet for romance
5. Nathan carrying brie out of her apartment with her ass in the air

I will likely read again

I really loved this book! It was a quick and easy read with great character building! I thought the mental health representation in the book was well done too.

There is one reason for this five star review: it kept me smiling from start to finish. It was also PG13, which was refreshing. Sweet and sappy but clearly not in a way that made me want to gag. I guess I also loved all the men in the book. If men in my real life were more like these men, I might actually want one for myself. They were supportive of each other, adorable, emotionally honest, talked about everything, disciplined, respectful, actively listening to each other and to Bree, and actually deeply caring for each other - not exactly traits I think of in general for men, but certainly not for football players.
