I loved this book. Clare Pooley is such a fun writer with heart warming stories and lovable characters. These characters felt so real and I was rooting for each of them.

I also love seeing middle aged women featured as main characters and people with dreams, ambitions, friendships and relationships—whole humans. So often, women start being erased as they age. But not in Pooley’s books. Reading her work gives me hope for a beautiful life. This was my second read of her work and I’m sure I’ll continue to be a fan.

Im not really into character stories that much so this book was fine overall. I enjoyed Emmy’s story the most for the mystery of it all, other than that it was just average.
