Third installment in this series and it’s still going strong!  It had been awhile since I read the first two so it did take me a bit to get back into all of the side characters but once I was in it I loved the mystery!  I only sort of figured out the bad guy in this one but there was still a lot of suspense and twists!  As always, love the slow burn between Finlay and Nick!  Looking forward to the next book!

I am enjoying this series so much! This is my favorite of the three so far. Finlay and Vero are a great team and the supporting characters are interesting in their own right! I am looking forward to book #4!

Oh Finlay. She just falls into problems regardless of the scenario. And Vero is apparently a real adrenaline junkie. Their relationship is phenomenal. I love women supporting other women. Especially when Steven tries to undermine the whole thing, yet again.

I really enjoyed the twist and actual crime solving elements. The way things tied back to earlier books was really fun.

It's difficult for me to give this book 3.5 stars, but I found the plot to be dragging at times. However, I thoroughly enjoyed the plot twist, particularly when Finn's assumptions about the assassin for hire were proven wrong. While I found the police academy storyline to be dull, the scene at the fire tower was truly captivating. Despite Nick appearing to be the frontrunner in Finn's romantic pursuits, I still find myself rooting for Julian.
