I initially rated this a 4 that was really a 3 1/2 but after thinking on it a bit I’ve knocked it down to a solid 3.

I’m a sucker for the whole creepy-spirit-things-are-in-the-woods-and-they’re-talking-and-maybe-watching-me-sleep vibe and that part of this book was done so very well. The downsides for me were the repetitiveness of the story and the giant plot holes that make absolutely no sense.

Genuinely terrifying. I just feel like it had about 3 endings is why I docked the half star. A great horror book though!

Started out really strong and creepy, but quickly got very repetitive. The writing style is that of a reddit post, which is what the story started as, but this gets old over the course of 300ish pages. I just left wanting so much more from this story. There are loose ends that are never tied up and the conclusion is super weak.
