This is such a lovely read.  I really enjoyed this book and all the characters it had to offer.  The romance wasn’t overly angsty and the ending was super cute.  It was a bit of a slow burn seeing only parts of there summer together mixed in with current day.

Not to say the character development wasn't strong for all the characters but it was especially strong for Will.  Seeing him accept himself and not caring so much about what other’s want of him or what they expect of him—instead he took his own path.

There were still sad moments and a side character death that absolutely is devastating.

Lara is easily a favorite; naturally I hated her at first but she won me over.  As long as you're on Lara's side you'll be fine.  Out of all the friendships in this book Lara and Oliver are hands down my favorite.  They had a bit of a rough start but when they teamed up they were basically unstoppable.

Hurt/Comfort
Happy Ending
Amazing Humor
Slow Burn (Kinda)
Great Friendships

This dealt with some really difficult themes, especially  the grief of losing someone close to you. I really loved Ollie as a character, and it was nice to see his complex emotions explored throughout the book. On the other hand I have a complex relationship with Will I love and hate him at the same time. He did grow on me slightly by the end of the book as he worked through his own emotions and came to accept himself.

This was sooo cute and sweet!!
Such an easy read and pretty easy to get invested in.
Really loved all the side characters too and Will and Ollie were really cute together.
I don‘t like the whole one person out/one person closeted thing in books that much, but obviously it‘s a very real experience. I felt like this was done pretty well and I liked Lara‘s whole journey a lot, too!!
It was a little cliche that everyone ended up together, but I‘ll accept it.
I will say that the conflict resolution was a little out of nowhere, though. There was a build up but it was over in like 3 seconds.
Also Ollie choosing NC state? Like bestie you‘ve known these people for a year calm down.
I liked Niamh‘s story with PCOS, it felt a tiny bit forced but I think it‘s important to talk about.
Linda‘s story made me absolutely SOB omg I was not ready.
This is a very solid 4 stars for me and I‘m excited to read the author‘s other book(s)
