I couldn't get past the 3rd essay in this book. I just didn't find it well written and could not figure out what the points to the essays were. After being unable to find any humor that I could connect with, I gave up.

I can't believe I waited so long to read this, it's so much fun!
An amusing look into someone's life who's willing to let you in on all the crude and unflattering details that are real life. The opposite of Instagram.

I think this is my favourite memoir by a female writer/comedian that I've ever read, and I've read quite a few. Surprising, given that I had no idea who Jessi Klein was before reading it! It's light but tackles some everyday female issues in an honest, earnest manner. Klein has perfected the art of writing about events in her life without losing the reader in a tangle of tangents that other comedic memoir writers tend to do so often. 100% would read again.
