Some essays were much stronger than others. Very self-deprecating, not really my thing.

Especially loved listening to it read by the author herself!

All kinds of awesome. Comes with belly laughs and complementary tears.
I’m not much of a re-reader, but a couple weeks ago I was feeling like I needed a book that would make me laugh and feel normal about my life, so I revisited “You’ll Grow Out of It” by Jessi Klein. The first time I read this was on vacation in 2016. I think i had read a total of 10 books over the course of that year, and this had been a favorite. Now that I’m reading a lot more than that, I wasn’t sure if it would hold up, but OH IT DID. I did audio this time, and was laughing so much at Klein’s writing and delivery. I’m pretty sure that I am her exact target demographic for this book of essays (White unmarried woman in her 30’s, watcher of The Bachelor, Barre-class-attendee, Anthropologie window-shopper, over-thinker) and I totally enjoyed my second reading of this funny, thoughtful book.
3 stars because I’ll admit it was entertaining but the overall themes of this book pissed me off. I’m so over the whole us vs them mentality of some women being fairy poodles and everyone else being “normal” .
My second time through and it's still delightful.
This is probably the funniest book I have ever read. With the exception of maybe 2 essays, it was perfect.
Amazing amazing amazing! I laughed out loud so many times. It is perfection!
