A very enjoyable read, as always from Christina Henry. I would say neither as dark/horror nor as unexpected as Alice. I always interpreted Peter Pan as a sinister figure, even as a child, so the flipped villain narrative in this one was sadly less novel for me.

This book was absolutely phenomenal. However, it is definitely not for everyone. I find retelling/reimagining of classic fairy tales to be a wonderful genre, but it has its flaws. I have always liked the idea of Peter Pan actually being the villain of the story. He takes children from their home and puts them in danger, solely for his own selfish ends. Giving more lore to the dynamics betwen Peter and Hook is wonderful. I wish there was a little bit more to this story, though. It seemed to end just when it was getting really good.

Peter Pan is reminiscent of the settler colony of I$r@e|. He cleverly tricks everyone into thinking he's this nice, friendly dude, but in truth, he’s actually super evil and responsible for all the bad stuff. Assessing whether it deserves a 5 star or 4 star rating was challenging, yet regardless,I had a blast reading it
