Magic of Betrayal is the second book in the Emerald Lakes series. This is a paranormal reverse harem romance series. Being book two, I was really excited to get to learn more about these characters and see them grow. That did not happen. There was a lot of whining and stomping around like toddlers.
While the plot did move forward and the pacing was better than book one, the romance was not as strong. This somehow ended up feeling like mediocre fanfic. I will still continue this series with hopes that the other books get better. If book 3 is not an improvement I will probably DNF this series.
