mijn comfort boek

Rowling, wij haten haar hier.

SOOOOOO GOOOD!!!! Amazing, spectacular, better than I remember. I love this book so much.

Rowling's writing gets better with every book. This a thrilling books with on-the-edge-of-your-seat Quidditch games, an angry Harry, and a werewolf.

This plot is not nearly as fun or interesting as the first two. The middle majority of the story consists of:
- Harry has a Firebolt
- Have you guys seen Harry's new Firebolt
- Why is Hermione so tired?
- I wish I had a Firebolt
- Boy that Lupin sure is tired
- Cats and rats aren't friends so neither are we
- Firebolt Firebolt Firebolt

The ending at least perks up, but I personally just don't find time loops engaging; they're always the same. For some reason I've never found werewolves that exciting either (10th Kingdom the obvious exception).

I think JK Rowling is an immature storyteller. If Ursula K LeGuin and Philip Pullman are fine artists with paintbrushes and chisels, JK Rowling is a Lego architect - impressive in its own right, fun to play with, accessible to children, and not without artistic value. But let's not pretend they're in the same league. It's acceptable and encouraged to have a Lego set or two on display, but for it to be your only decor would be concerning. The details of this magical world are a lot of fun, but I also roll my eyes a lot.

DID NOT FINISH

Although it has many storylines and details that the movies do not have, after watching the entirr series more than 10 times, I simply got bored. Just gonna make peace with this universe and explore the new stories waiting for me.
